The Biomedical Information Engineering area (BIE) of the IBIME group at the Technical University of Valencia is dedicated to the study and efficient use of information and communication technologies for the management of biomedical information. Current research lines include: - Semantic interoperability of health information systems.
- Integration and normalization of biomedical data.
- Applied use of health information standards.
- Semantic modelling of information through ontologies, medical terminologies and archetypes.
- Visualization of biomedical information.
