The Medical Imaging Group (MI) is committed in the research, analysis and modelling of different pathologies related to the human being, by applying the information extracted from the different clinical image techniques that are available nowadays. | The main research guidelines are centered around the Central Nervous System, although the technique development may be applied to illnesses that affect other biological structures. The research carried out by MI is summarized in three main topics: Robust segmentation and representation of 3D images (especially MR images, but also CT, PET, DWI MR, etc.) Statistic Parametric Map generation of the brain by means of perfusion MR, diffusion (DWI and DTI) MR and BOLD contrast fMRI. |
